Biography
Christian Baltauss is a French actor born on 25 November 1947 in Chelles, Seine-et-Marne. He made his screen debut in the 1971 film Le Petit Matin.
Baltauss appeared in several notable films of the 1970s and 1980s, including The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972) as Lt. Hubert de Rochcahin, The Lacemaker (1977) as Gérard, The Last Metro (1980) as Lucien Ballard, Bernard's Replacement, and Spy, Stand Up (1982) as the librarian. He has also worked extensively in theatre, performing roles in plays by Sartre, Giraudoux, Racine and others, and in French television series and telefilms such as Adieu mes quinze ans and Anne jour après jour.
