Biography

Christine Rawlins is a British costume designer. She trained at art school and taught the subject before joining the BBC Costume Department. She began working in television in 1969 as an assistant on Z Cars.

Rawlins was the credited costume designer for all serials of Doctor Who's seventh season in 1970, including Spearhead from Space, Doctor Who and the Silurians, The Ambassadors of Death and Inferno. She later designed costumes for The Sun Makers (1977). Other credits include The Signalman (1976), The Mayor of Casterbridge (1978), An Englishman's Castle (1978), Fortunes of War (1987) and Annie: A Royal Adventure (1995). She won a BAFTA Award for Fortunes of War.
