Biography
Christopher Bear (born 19 July 1982) is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is a member of the indie-rock band Grizzly Bear and has contributed to projects by artists including Fleet Foxes, Beach House and Daniel Rossen’s Department of Eagles. He also records solo material under the name Fools.
Bear began scoring for film and television with work on the HBO series High Maintenance (2016–2020). With Rossen he composed the score for the 2023 film Past Lives, and he has since scored The Passenger (2023), Swallowed (2022), If You Were the Last (2023), Mother, Couch (2024), Roofman (2025) and the series Adults (2025).
