Biography

Christopher Gordon is an English-born Australian composer. Born in London in 1956, he moved to Australia as a child and began his musical training with the Australian Boys Choir.

He is known for his film scores, including Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), Mao's Last Dancer (2009), Daybreakers (2009), Ladies in Black (2018) and June Again (2021). Gordon has also composed for ballet, concert hall and major events, and has conducted numerous film and game scores.

His work has received several awards, including AACTA Awards for Best Original Score for Ladies in Black and June Again, an AFI Award for Mao's Last Dancer, and an Emmy nomination for Salem's Lot (2004).
