Biography
Christopher Lawford was an American actor, author and activist. Born in Santa Monica, California, on 29 March 1955, he was the son of actor Peter Lawford and Patricia Kennedy Lawford, and thus a member of the Kennedy family. He studied at Tufts University, earned a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and completed training in clinical psychology at Harvard University.
Lawford appeared in films including The Doors (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) as Brewster's Aide, and The World's Fastest Indian (2005). On television he had roles in Frasier (2003), The O.C. (2005) and General Hospital (2003). He also wrote books on addiction and recovery, drawing on his own experience, and worked with organisations including the World Health Organization and the United Nations on related issues. He died in Vancouver, Canada, on 4 September 2018.
