Biography

Christopher Sheppard is a British film producer. In 1990 he co-founded Adventure Pictures with writer and director Sally Potter.

His first feature as producer was Orlando (1992), an Oscar-nominated film and one of the earliest multi-country European co-productions. Subsequent credits include The Tango Lesson (1997), The Man Who Cried (2000), Yes (2004), Rage (2009), Ginger & Rosa (2012), The Party (2017) and The Roads Not Taken (2020).

Before entering film production, Sheppard worked as a journalist across five continents, co-edited the New Internationalist magazine and consulted for United Nations organisations including UNICEF and WHO. He has also directed documentaries, two of which received Royal Television Society nominations.
