Biography
Christopher Stanley is an American actor. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he moved to Los Angeles and trained at the Loft Studio with Peggy Feury and Bill Traylor, and with José Quintero and Bobby Lewis of the Actors Studio.
He is best known for playing politician Henry Francis, the second husband of Betty Francis, on the series Mad Men (2009–2015), where his role became recurring from the third season and a main cast member from the fifth. He appeared in the films Argo (2012) as Thomas L. Ahern, Jr. and Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as Admiral Bill McRaven, and has had roles in series including NYPD Blue, American Horror Story, Narcos: Mexico and Landman.
