Biography
Ciccio Ingrassia, also credited as Francesco Ingrassia, was an Italian actor and comedian. Born in Palermo, Sicily, on 5 October 1922, he died in Rome on 28 April 2003. He began performing in the 1950s and formed a long-running comedy partnership with Franco Franchi from the early 1960s, appearing together in more than 100 films.
Ingrassia also took roles in films by established directors. He played Teo, Titta's uncle, in Federico Fellini's Amarcord (1973). Other notable credits include Volpe in The Adventures of Pinocchio (1972), Voltrano in Todo modo (1976), for which he received the Nastro d'Argento for best supporting actor, and a part in Kaos (1984). He directed two films in the mid-1970s and appeared in television during the 1980s.
