Biography
Cindy Caponera is a television writer and producer. A native Chicagoan, she began her career in comedy performing with the Second City Theater, appearing in its National Touring Company, ETC and mainstage productions.
She wrote for Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2000. Her other writing credits include episodes of Shameless (2011), for which she also served as producer, Nurse Jackie (2009–2013), Sonny with a Chance (2009), and At Home with Amy Sedaris (2017). She has developed comedies for HBO, Fox, Showtime and CBS, and received Primetime Emmy and Writers Guild of America award nominations.
Caponera has also published a collection of essays titled I Triggered Her Bully.
