Biography

Ciro Petrone is an Italian actor born on 11 October 1987 in Naples. He made his feature-film debut in the role of Ciro, nicknamed Pisellino, in Matteo Garrone’s Gomorrah (2008).

He was discovered while working in his father’s fruit shop in Naples and has since appeared in further films by Garrone, including Reality (2012) as a barista and Pinocchio (2019). Other credits include Love Is All You Need (2012), Song’e Napule (2013) and Love and Bullets (2017).

Petrone has also taken part in Italian reality television, including the fourth series of La Fattoria in 2009 and the seventeenth series of Grande Fratello in 2023. In 2008 he received the Actor of the Year award at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival.
