Biography
Cirocco Dunlap is an American writer and producer. Born in San Francisco in 1985, she studied improv and comedy at UC Santa Cruz after performing in high school musicals.
She began her television career as a staff writer on Man Seeking Woman (2015) and wrote for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Her credits include episodes of Russian Doll (2019), Miracle Workers (2019), Little Voice (2020), Waffles + Mochi (2021) and Baymax! (2022). She created and wrote the animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy (2024).
Dunlap has also written prose for The New Yorker and McSweeney’s, authored picture books including Crunch, the Shy Dinosaur (2018), and made the short film Everything Is Okay (2017). She has received Writers Guild of America and Emmy nominations.
