Biography
Clare Knight is an animation editor, also credited early in her career as Clare De Chenu. Born in 1966 in Dublin, she studied film at St Martin’s School of Art in London. She began as an assistant editor at Amblimation on An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991) and subsequent projects including Balto (1995).
She joined DreamWorks Animation in Los Angeles, serving as first assistant editor on The Prince of Egypt (1998) and editor on Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002), Madagascar (2005) and its short The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper (2005), and the Kung Fu Panda trilogy (2008–2016). Knight edited The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) and directed the Netflix feature Back to the Outback (2021). She later joined Sony Pictures Animation as lead editor on GOAT (2026).
Knight has been married to actor Wayne Knight since 2006; they have one child.
