Biography
Cláudia Kopke is a Brazilian costume designer. Born on 5 July 1959 in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, she began her career in the 1980s creating costumes for rock bands before expanding into advertising, television and cinema.
She has designed costumes for films including Elite Squad (2007), Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010), The House of Sand (2005), Two Sons of Francisco (2005), The Second Mother (2015) and I'm Still Here (2024). She also created costumes for the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics and has worked in theatre, including on Chacrinha – O Musical.
Her work on The Second Mother received awards at the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival.
