Biography
Claudio Ermelli (24 July 1892 – 29 October 1964) was an Italian film actor. Born in Turin, he appeared in more than one hundred films between 1915 and 1962.
He is best known internationally for his role as Giovanni, Gregory Peck's landlord, in Roman Holiday (1953). He also appeared as Luigi in It Started in Naples (1960). Ermelli began his career in theatre before moving into silent films and later worked extensively as a character actor in Italian cinema and on television.
