Biography

Cliff Owen (22 April 1919 – November 1993) was a British film and television director. He began his career as an assistant director in the late 1940s, with credits including Under Capricorn (1949).

Owen directed episodes of series such as The Avengers and comedy films including The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963), That Riviera Touch (1966), The Magnificent Two (1967) and the 1972 cinema adaptation of Steptoe and Son. He was born in London and died in Oxfordshire.
