Biography
Clive Tickner is a British cinematographer. Born in December 1943 in Harrow, London, he studied sculpture at art college before completing a postgraduate course in filmmaking.
He founded a documentary production company and specialised in factual films for television until the early 1980s, when he began feature work including The Ploughman's Lunch (1983) for director Richard Eyre. His credits include Hidden Agenda (1990), Split Second (1992), The Puppet Masters (1994), Loch Ness (1996), Twelfth Night (1996) and Spice World (1997). He received BAFTA awards for the television series Traffik (1989) and The Borrowers (1992). Tickner is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) and served as its president from 2000 to 2002.
