Biography
Clodualdo del Mundo Jr., also known as Doy del Mundo, is a Filipino screenwriter, director and author. He wrote the screenplay for Manila in the Claws of Light (1975), directed by Lino Brocka, on which he also served as director of photography.
He studied at the Ateneo de Manila University, where he completed a BA in 1968, followed by an MA in radio-television-film from the University of Kansas in 1974 and a PhD in communication studies from the University of Iowa in 1994. From 1976 to 1985 he headed the communication arts department at De La Salle University. His other screenwriting credits include Itim (1977), Kisapmata (1981), Batch '81 (1982) and Bayaning 3rd World (2000). He wrote and directed the feature Pepot Superstar (2005).
