Biography
Colby Day is an American screenwriter, filmmaker and playwright. He graduated from the Department of Dramatic Writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2010.
Day wrote the screenplay for the 2024 Netflix film Spaceman, directed by Johan Renck. He served as a writer and story editor on season five of the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind (2019), which aired in 2026, and wrote the episode “No Sudden Moves”. He also wrote the screenplay for the 2026 Searchlight Pictures film In the Blink of an Eye, directed by Andrew Stanton.
In 2024 he was named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s “25 Screenwriters to Watch”. In the Blink of an Eye won the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2026. Day is married to documentary filmmaker Emma D. Miller.
