Biography
Colette Kane is a British television writer and producer. She began her career as a playwright, with work staged at Paines Plough, the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Hampstead Theatre and Theatre Clwyd. She moved into screenwriting in 2012, writing episodes of the BBC One anthology series Moving On (2013–2016).
Kane has written episodes of Vera (2020–2023), Broken (2017), The Indian Detective (2017) and Temple (2021), on which she served as lead writer for the second series. She has written two episodes of Dalgliesh (2024) and is co-creator, lead writer and executive producer of a reboot of Dalziel and Pascoe. She is based in Liverpool.
