Biography
Colin Teevan (born 1968) is an Irish playwright, translator and writer for screen. He has written episodes of the ITV crime series Vera (2012), the BBC legal drama Silk (2014) and the ITV series Single Handed (2011).
Teevan created, wrote and served as co-executive producer on the historical series Rebellion (2016, with a second series in 2019) for Netflix and RTÉ, and the RTÉ miniseries Charlie (2015). Both won multiple Irish Film & Television Awards. He has also written for Sky's Das Boot (2020–2023) and created Resistance (2019).
His theatre work has been staged at venues including the National Theatre, the Young Vic and the Abbey Theatre. He is Emeritus Professor of Screenwriting and Playwriting at Birkbeck, University of London.
