Biography

Comfort Chan, also known as Chan Kwong-wing or Punk Chan Kwong-wing, is a Hong Kong film composer. Born on 15 June 1967 in Hong Kong, he has scored numerous Hong Kong and Chinese productions since the mid-1990s.

His credits include the original music for Infernal Affairs (2002) and its sequels, Naked Weapon (2002), Three... Extremes (2004), Flash Point (2007), Bodyguards and Assassins (2009), Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen (2010), Man of Tai Chi (2013), Skiptrace (2016) and Warriors of Future (2022). He has also worked as a record producer for artists including Fiona Fung, Pakho Chau and Ekin Cheng.

Chan has received seventeen Hong Kong Film Award nominations for Best Original Film Score and won three times, for The Storm Riders (1998), Bodyguards and Assassins (2009) and Wu Xia (2011).
