Biography
Connie Jackson is an American actress and singer. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, she moved to Los Angeles in 1986. Shortly afterwards she was cast by choreographer Michael Peters in the 1987 Broadway revival of Dreamgirls.
She has appeared in numerous television series, including a recurring role as Elaine on NCIS (2012–2023). Other credits include Grey's Anatomy (2005), 9-1-1 (2018) as Fatima, How to Get Away with Murder (2014), This Is Us (2016), Weeds (2005), Jane the Virgin (2014), Nip/Tuck (2003) and Drive-Away Dolls (2024) as Aunt Ellis.
Jackson provided the voice of Grandma Lucy in the animated film All I Want for Christmas Is You (2017). She has also worked as a backing vocalist, touring and recording with Phil Collins, and co-produced the short film My Name Is Lamar (2017).
