Biography
Conrad Wedde is a New Zealand composer and multi-instrumentalist. He is a member of the band The Phoenix Foundation and works as part of the composing collective Moniker alongside Lukasz Buda and Samuel Scott.
Wedde has composed scores for several films directed by Taika Waititi, including Boy (2010) and Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016). Moniker’s work on these and other projects such as Eagle vs Shark (2007) has included both original scores and songs. He has also composed for television series and other feature films.
Born and raised in Wellington, Wedde has collaborated with Buda and Scott since an early age. Their film work has received awards and nominations, including a win for Best Score for Boy at the New Zealand Film and Television Awards.
