Biography
Craig Borten is an American screenwriter. He was born on 16 September 1965 in Pennsylvania and attended Syracuse University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film.
Borten wrote the screenplay for Dallas Buyers Club (2013), which he developed over more than two decades after interviewing Ron Woodroof in 1992. He later collaborated with Melisa Wallack on the project. The film received nominations for the Academy Award and Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay.
His other screenwriting credits include The 33 (2015) and Sergio (2020).
