Biography
Crystal R. Fox is an American actress and singer. She was born on 1 January 1964 in Tryon, North Carolina, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1979, where she began her professional stage career in the late 1970s.
Fox is known for her television roles as Luann Corbin in the police drama series In the Heat of the Night (1989–1995) and as Hanna Young in the soap opera The Haves and the Have Nots (2013–2021). Her film credits include Katie Bell in Driving Miss Daisy (1989) and the lead role in the thriller A Fall from Grace (2020).
She has also appeared in Big Little Lies (2019), The Big Door Prize (2023–2024) and His & Hers (2026) as Alice Andrews. Fox is the niece of singer Nina Simone.
