Biography
Cynthia Gouw is an American actress, model and journalist. Born on 30 May 1963 in Contra Costa County, California, she graduated from UCLA with a BA in political science and international relations and later earned a JD from UCLA School of Law.
Gouw appeared as Romulan ambassador Caithlin Dar in the film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989). Her other acting credits include the guest role of Tami Fields in the Matlock episode "The Model" (1989) and a part in Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects (1989). She won the spokesmodel competition on Star Search in 1988, the first Asian American to do so, and later became a three-time Emmy Award-winning television reporter and anchor, working for stations including KPIX, KXTV and KABC-TV.
