Biography
Cyril Coke was a British television director and producer. Born in London on 29 July 1914, he was the son of actor Edward Rigby. He began his career directing episodes of anthology series including ITV Play of the Week (1956–1967) and ITV Television Playhouse (1956–1963).
Coke directed five episodes of the period drama Upstairs, Downstairs (1972–1975). He also directed multiple episodes of The Duchess of Duke Street (1976–1977) and Warship (1974–1976), as well as the complete miniseries Pride and Prejudice (1980) and Flickers (1980). He was married to actress Muriel Young from 1954.
Coke died on 31 October 1993 in County Durham, England.
