Biography
D.J. Gugenheim is an American film and television producer. He spent parts of his youth in New York, Israel and Florida before moving to Los Angeles at the age of sixteen. He studied theatre and business at the University of California, Los Angeles, and International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Gugenheim held production roles at Lotus Entertainment and Andrew Lauren Productions, where he produced High Life (2018) and Vox Lux (2018). He produced The Brutalist (2024), directed by Brady Corbet and released by A24, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture; Gugenheim received a Producers Guild of America Mark for the film. He has also collaborated with Billy Porter on projects including the documentary Anything’s Possible (2022) and a first-look deal with FX Productions.
His other credits include executive producer roles on Kidnap (2017), November Criminals (2017) and The Crucifixion (2017), as well as the documentaries A Tree of Life: The Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting (2022) and I Was Born This Way (2025).
