Biography
Daigo Kusano (1939–1991) was a Japanese actor. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, under Japanese rule, he was raised in Kagoshima Prefecture and trained at the Bungakuza acting institute from 1961.
He worked in theatre, film and television from the early 1960s until the late 1980s, appearing in supporting roles in many tokusatsu productions and films directed by Kihachi Okamoto. He is known for roles including Kuchiki Rokubei in Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart to Hades (1972), Yanagawa, Alien Agent #1 in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974), Mudo in Lone Wolf and Cub: White Heaven in Hell (1974), and appearances in Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo (1970) and Hanzo the Razor: Sword of Justice (1972). He was married to former actress Kazuko Tajima.
