Biography
Daijirō Harada is a Japanese actor. Born on 5 April 1944 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and raised in Yamaguchi Prefecture, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Meiji University before joining the Bungakuza theatre company.
He made his film debut in Eros + Massacre (1969) and starred in Hadaka no Jūkyū-sai (1970), for which he received the Elan d'Or Newcomer Award. Harada has appeared in numerous films including Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993), Izo (2004) as a judge, and voiced Heen (and the mayor) in Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle (2004). He has also worked extensively in television, stage productions and variety shows.
