Biography
Damon Francis Knight (19 September 1922 – 15 April 2002) was an American science fiction author, editor and critic. He wrote numerous short stories and novels, and founded the Science Fiction Writers of America in 1965. He also established and edited the original anthology series Orbit from 1966 to 1980.
Knight is best known for the 1950 short story 'To Serve Man', which was adapted for an episode of the television series The Twilight Zone in 1962. He received a Hugo Award for his criticism, collected in the 1956 volume In Search of Wonder. Knight was married to the writer Kate Wilhelm.
