Biography
Damson Idris is a British actor. Born on 2 September 1991 in Peckham, London, he is the youngest of six children in a Nigerian family of Yoruba descent. He studied drama at Brunel University London, earning a BA Honours degree in Theatre, Film and Television studies, and trained at the Identity School of Acting.
Idris began his career in theatre, performing at the Royal National Theatre and appearing in British television series such as Miranda (2013), Doctors (2015) and Casualty (2015). He gained international recognition for his leading role as Franklin Saint in the FX crime drama Snowfall (2017–2023). His film credits include Megan Leavey (2017), Farming (2018), The Commuter (2018) and Outside the Wire (2021). He played Joshua Pearce in the 2025 sports drama F1.
