Biography
Dan Eckman is an American director, writer and producer. He graduated from New York University with a B.F.A. in Film and TV Production in 2005. His undergraduate thesis film won awards including Best College Short at the 2006 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival.
Eckman first came to attention for his work with the sketch group Derrick Comedy. He directed the feature Mystery Team (2009), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He has directed an episode of the series Community (2012), the MTV film Worst. Prom. Ever. (2011) and music videos for Childish Gambino. Earlier, he was video production director for Blue Man Group.
