Biography
Dan Koeppel is a writer and journalist. He wrote the story and co-wrote the teleplay for the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode 'Inheritance', broadcast in 1993. His only other screenwriting credit is as co-writer of the 1994 film The Lost Words.
Koeppel began his career in journalism as a columnist for mountain bike publications in 1988. He has contributed articles to magazines including Elle, Martha Stewart Living and The New York Times, and has written books on topics such as extreme sports, cycling and natural history.
He grew up in Queens, New York, and lives in Portland, Maine.
