Biography

Dan Reed is a British documentary filmmaker and director. He studied Russian at the University of Cambridge and began his career at the BBC as an assistant producer to Adam Curtis.

His early films include The Valley (2000), about the Kosovo War, and Terror in Moscow (2003). He has directed episodes of television series including Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989), Lewis (2007) and Waking the Dead (2001). Reed is known for documentaries such as Leaving Neverland (2019), In the Shadow of 9/11 (2021) and The Truth vs. Alex Jones (2024). His production company is Amos Pictures.

Reed has received a Primetime Emmy, BAFTAs and a Peabody Award.
