Biography
Dan Schalk is an American film and television editor. He began his career in the early 1990s as an apprentice and assistant editor on features including Dead Space (1991) and Little Man Tate (1991), later working as first assistant editor on Road to Perdition (2002).
Schalk has edited numerous comedies and series, including Superhero Movie (2008), She's Out of My League (2010), Butter (2012), Girl in Progress (2012), The Bubble (2022) and A Good Person (2023). His television credits include episodes of Parks and Recreation, Love, Shrill and Kevin Can FK Himself (2021). He also served as producer on Home of the Giants (2007) and episodes of Love.
For his work on the episode 'Live Free or Die' of Kevin Can FK Himself, Schalk shared an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for Best Edited Multi-Camera Comedy Series.
