Biography
Dan Schwalm is a film editor specialising in natural history documentaries. He edited My Octopus Teacher (2020), directed by Pippa Ehrlich and James Reed, which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
Schwalm has edited episodes and series including Chimp Empire (2023), Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory (2022) and Untamed Romania (2018). With Pippa Ehrlich, he won the American Cinema Editors Award for Best Edited Documentary Feature for My Octopus Teacher.
