Biography
Dana Delany is an American actress. Born Dana Welles Delany on 13 March 1956 in New York City, she graduated from Wesleyan University in 1978 after studying theatre and earlier attending Phillips Academy.
She began working in daytime television and stage productions in New York before moving to Hollywood. Delany gained prominence as Colleen McMurphy in the series China Beach (1988–1991), winning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She later appeared in films including Tombstone (1993) and provided the voice of Andrea Beaumont in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993), as well as Lois Lane in multiple DC Animated Universe projects. Subsequent television roles include Katherine Mayfair in Desperate Housewives (2007–2010) and Megan Hunt in Body of Proof (2011–2013).
