Biography
Dana Gould is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and voice artist. Born on 24 August 1964 in Hopedale, Massachusetts, he began performing comedy at the age of 17 and later studied communications and theatre before moving to San Francisco to pursue stand-up full time.
Gould wrote seven episodes of The Simpsons between 2001 and 2007 and served as co-executive producer on seasons 14 to 18. He also voiced characters on the series, including Barney Fife. His other screen credits include guest roles on Seinfeld (as Frankie Merman), The Nanny and The King of Queens, the voice of Gex in the video-game franchise, and the part of Squeegeman in Mystery Men (1999).
He created the horror-comedy series Stan Against Evil and has contributed to Parks and Recreation and ted (2024). Gould has received Primetime Emmy Awards and nominations for his work on The Simpsons.
