Biography
Daniel Boyle is a Scottish screenwriter. He contributed episodes to the television series Inspector Morse between 1991 and 1993, and wrote twelve episodes of Hamish Macbeth (1995–1997), which he also devised.
Boyle left school at fifteen and worked as a seaman for eleven years, followed by four years as a postman. He attended university as a mature student and later worked as a college lecturer before becoming a full-time writer in 1990. He has also written for Rebus, Taggart and Lewis.
