Biography
Daniel Burman (born 29 August 1973) is an Argentine film director, screenwriter and producer. He is a leading figure in the New Argentine Cinema that emerged around 1998 and co-founded the production company BD Cine with Diego Dubcovsky in 1995.
Burman wrote and directed a loose trilogy of films starring Daniel Hendler: Esperando al Mesías (2000), El Abrazo Partido (Lost Embrace, 2004) and Derecho de Familia (Family Law, 2006). He was co-producer of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) and has received numerous awards, including the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival for Lost Embrace.
