Biography
Daniel Casey is an English actor born on 1 June 1972 in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. He is best known for playing DS Gavin Troy in the first six series of Midsomer Murders (1997–2003), with a later guest appearance.
He made his television debut as Anthony Cox in the BBC series Our Friends in the North (1996). Other television roles include appearances in Silent Witness, A Touch of Frost, Hex, Marchlands, Steel River Blues and several soap operas. He began his career on stage in a touring production of Dead Fish.
Casey is the son of journalist and television presenter Luke Casey. He studied English literature at Durham University and has been married to Ellie Casey since 2005; they have two sons.
