Biography
Daniel Emilfork (born Daniel Emilfork Berenstein) was a Chilean stage and film actor who worked primarily in France. He was born on 7 April 1924 in Providencia, Santiago, Chile, and settled in Paris in 1949. He studied acting under Tania Balachova and appeared in numerous stage productions as well as over a hundred films and television roles.
Emilfork was known for his distinctive appearance and often played villains or eccentric characters. His credits include Krank in The City of Lost Children (1995), the secretary in Pirates (1986), the Marquis Du Bois in Fellini's Casanova (1976), Tatouius in Quarter to Two Before Jesus Christ (1982), and Colonel Hakim in Travels with My Aunt (1972). He continued acting until his death in Paris on 17 October 2006; his final film role appeared in 2007.
