Biography
Daniel Pearle is an American playwright and screenwriter. He began in theatre, with plays produced at Lincoln Center Theater, London’s Old Vic, the Vineyard Theatre and regional venues. He holds a BA from Harvard University and an MFA from the New School for Drama, and is an alum of Ars Nova’s Play Group and a MacDowell Fellow.
His feature adaptation of his play A Kid Like Jake premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Television credits include writing for American Crime Story (2021), One of Us Is Lying (2021), Accused (2023–2024) and The Beast in Me (2025), on which he also serves as executive producer. He received a Humanitas New Voices Grant and a Writers Guild of America nomination.
