Biography
Danilo 'Bata' Stojković was a Yugoslav and Serbian actor. Born on 11 August 1934 in Belgrade, he began his career as a theatre actor in the 1950s at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre and became a permanent member of the Atelje 212 ensemble from 1961.
His film debut came in 1964 with Izdajnik. He appeared in numerous films and television productions, often in roles as state officials or working-class characters. He was a frequent collaborator with director Slobodan Šijan and writer Dušan Kovačević. Among his best-known performances are Brka in Who's Singin' Over There? (1980), Laki Topalović in The Marathon Family (1982), Ilija Čvorović in Balkan Spy (1984), and Deda in Underground (1995). Stojković died on 16 March 2002 in Belgrade.
