Biography

Danny Lockin, also credited as Daniel Joseph Lockin, was an American actor and dancer. Born on 13 July 1943 in Lanai, Hawaii, he was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and began dancing professionally at the age of eight. He appeared on stage, in film and on television from the early 1960s until 1970.

Lockin is best known for playing Barnaby Tucker in the stage and film versions of Hello, Dolly!. He first took the role in touring productions in 1965 and reprised it in the 1969 film directed by Gene Kelly. His other credits include an uncredited role in the film Gypsy (1962) and a part in the 1964 Broadway revival of West Side Story. He also appeared in episodes of series such as My Three Sons.
