Biography
Darby Jones (1910–1986) was an American actor. A native of Los Angeles, he began appearing in films in the early 1930s and worked steadily through the 1950s, often in supporting or uncredited roles.
He is best known for his portrayal of the zombie-like Carrefour in the 1943 horror film I Walked with a Zombie, directed by Jacques Tourneur. Jones played a similar role in Zombies on Broadway (1945) and appeared in several Tarzan films, including Tarzan Escapes (1936) and Tarzan's New York Adventure (1942). Other credits include Cleopatra (1934), White Cargo (1942) and Zamba (1949). His screen career spanned from 1933 to 1957.
