Biography
Darcey Bussell is an English retired ballerina who has also appeared as an actor in television. Born in London on 27 April 1969, she trained at the Royal Ballet School and became a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet.
Bussell is known for guest appearances as herself in comedy series including French & Saunders (1993) and The Vicar of Dibley (1998), in which she performed a pas de deux. She later served as a judge on the BBC dance contest Strictly Come Dancing and was appointed DBE for services to dance.
