Biography
Dave Harris is a writer, poet and playwright. He is the author of the poetry collection Patricide (2019) and plays including Tambo & Bones (2022), Exception to the Rule (2022) and Everybody Black (2019). His feature film Summertime premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.
Harris received a B.A. from Yale University and an MFA from UC San Diego. He has written for the television series Interview with the Vampire (2022) and Widow's Bay (2026).
His honours include the Horton Foote Prize, the Lorraine Hansberry Award and the Mark Twain Award from the Kennedy Center.
