Biography
Dave Hoover is a wild animal trainer who appeared as himself in Errol Morris's 1997 documentary Fast, Cheap & Out of Control. The film profiles his work with lions and tigers, drawing on his long career in circuses.
By 1998 he had spent more than 30 years performing with the Clyde Beatty-Cole Brothers Circus and other shows, based in DeLand, Florida. He grew up in Middletown, Ohio, and earlier appeared as himself in the 1971 television film Plimpton! The Man on the Flying Trapeze.
